Botox and neuromodulators

Most clinics that publish a Botox price publish it per unit. 16 of the clinics we checked do, from $8 to $13, and half sit between $9 and $11. Dysport is priced the same per unit or up to $3 less. Its units aren't interchangeable with Botox units, so the per-unit prices aren't a like-for-like comparison.

The clinics that still price by area (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet) tend to quote wide ranges, such as $120 to $300 for the glabella. That protects the clinic when a patient needs more units, but it's harder for a patient to compare. If you price per unit, an appointment minimum does the same job: the clinics that publish one set it at $85 to $150. Volume pricing shows up too, from $8 a unit above 80 units to 100-unit hyperhidrosis packages.

Dermal and lip filler

A full syringe of hyaluronic acid filler is $400 to $700, with the median at $600. Half syringes are a lip product almost everywhere, at $325 to $400, and they price at about 60% of a full syringe rather than half, because the appointment costs the same.

The spread comes from three things: the product line (premium lines like Vycross run $850 to $950), named lip techniques sold as their own service ($700 to $900), and whether the clinic discounts the second syringe in a visit ($25 to $50 off is common). Biostimulators sit above all of it, at $800 to $1,100 a vial or syringe.

Microneedling

Standard microneedling is the most tightly priced treatment in the set: $250 to $325 a session, median $250. The money is in the add-ons. With PRP it's $550 to $650, and with exosomes up to $750. Packages of three run 15% to 20% off.

Morpheus8 and RF microneedling

Full-face sessions run $590 to $900, median $775. Most clinics sell it as a course of three, usually 10% to 33% below three single sessions, and face-plus-neck adds $100 to $500. Because the device and tips are a large fixed cost, RF microneedling is where pricing from your own costs matters most: work out how many sessions a month pay for the device before you match a competitor's promo.

HydraFacial

The Signature tier is $199 to $225, median $210. Clinics sell three tiers and the steps are consistent: Deluxe adds about $70 to $75 and Platinum $100 to $175 over Signature. Boosters and add-ons (lip, eye, dermaplaning) are around $50 each.

Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal has the widest spread of anything here, because single-session prices are partly a marketing number. Underarms are $50 to $150 (median $90), Brazilian $80 to $215 (median $165) and full legs $95 to $499 (median $300).

What patients actually pay is the package. Six to eight sessions is standard, and the discount runs from about 10% to 50% when several areas are combined. Some chains publish one national price list for all their locations, which keeps the low end of the range low.

IPL, tattoo removal and chemical peels

IPL photofacials are $295 to $350 for a full face, median $350, and are often sold in packages of three or four. Laser tattoo removal is priced by size: a small tattoo is $100 to $197 a session (median $150), climbing to $300 to $800 for large pieces. A few clinics charge a flat rate per session up to a size limit. Chemical peels are $80 to $250 (median $150), depending mostly on the peel line.

Deposits, minimums and cancellation fees

The price on the menu is only part of what clinics publish. The policies around it:

  • Consultations are mostly free. The clinics that charge set it at $10 to $50, and credit it to treatment or refund it if the patient books. A credited fee filters out no-shows without putting off real patients.
  • Appointment minimums of $85 to $150 are common for neuromodulators, so a lip flip or a few units of touch-up still covers the appointment.
  • Late-cancel and no-show fees of $50 to $100 apply inside 24 hours. Few clinics publish theirs, and a fee is only worth having if you can collect it, which is why deposits at booking are common.
  • Tax and card fees. Several clinics state their prices before GST or HST, and one adds its card processing fee on top. Decide which way you quote and say so on the menu.

In Zdrovia, deposits, cancellation windows and cancellation fees are set on each service, and multi-session packages are tracked per patient. See online booking with deposits and payments.

Setting your own prices

A median tells you where the market is, not where you should be. Use it as a check, not a starting point:

  1. Start from your costs. Product, consumables, device tips and the practitioner's time in the chair. For injectables, product cost per unit or syringe sets a hard floor.
  2. Add the overhead each hour has to carry. Rent, software, insurance and the medical director's fee, divided by the hours you actually book.
  3. Then compare with the table. If you land well under the typical range, you're probably underpricing. If you land above it, the menu needs to say why: an MD or NP injector, a premium product line, or what's included.
  4. Price the package, not just the session. For laser, RF microneedling and IPL, the package is what most patients buy. Set it first, then set the single session so the package is the obvious choice.
