The first week of October was mostly about two things: letting a growing clinic pay for exactly the team it has, and making sure the things you rely on every day keep working as we add more.
Pay per practitioner
Each paid plan includes a set number of practitioners: 3 on Small Practice and 10 on Team Practice. If you hire a fourth, you no longer have to jump a plan. You can add practitioners one at a time for $15 a month each, and the count stays in step with your subscription so there is one invoice, one renewal date and one card on file.
Behind that, we tightened how plans and subscriptions are handled so that a plan change, a cancellation or a failed card leaves the clinic in a clear state rather than a confusing one.
Closures and special hours
You can now mark the whole clinic closed on a date (25 December, a long weekend) or set shorter hours for a single day (open 9 to 1 on Christmas Eve). The booking page respects both straight away, so patients stop being offered slots on days you are not there. Before, the only way to close a holiday was to add leave for each practitioner separately.
Feature limits that follow your plan
Features are now tied to your plan on the server, not just hidden in the interface. That means the free Solo plan and the paid plans each get what their pricing page says, and a feature outside your plan can’t be reached by a side door.
63 test suites, and what they found
We built an end-to-end test suite that drives a real browser through the app the way a clinic would: signing up, setting up a profile, booking a patient, charting a visit, invoicing, and checking that one clinic can never see another clinic’s data. There are 63 suites and more than 480 individual checks so far, covering appointments, patients, services, charts, forms, the public booking page and clinic profiles.
Writing them paid for itself quickly. Fixes this week that came straight out of the tests:
- A chart could be submitted twice if you double-tapped save.
- Creating or editing a patient could fail in a couple of edge cases, and patient email handling is stricter.
- A rendering mismatch that affected every page on first load is gone.
- Appointment, package and schedule flows now behave consistently from the booking page through to the invoice.
Smaller things
- Products can now have a colour, so you can spot them at a glance in inventory.
- Files you annotate can be attached to a patient conversation.
- Clinic profile polish, including the portal in light mode.
- A new body map model, which is the start of the work described on the roadmap.
