September: Subscriptions, Injection Approvals and a Body Map You Can Chart On

Paid plans went live, nurse injectors can request medical director approval before they inject, the body map was rebuilt, and booking, forms, invoicing and the clinic directory all got a round of improvements.

The Zdrovia team4 min read

September is when Zdrovia started charging for the first time. It is also when a lot of the feedback from nurse injectors and med spa owners turned into features.

Small Practice and Team Practice subscriptions are now live, with monthly and annual billing and a billing page where you can change plan, update your card or cancel. If you subscribe before January 1, 2027 your early-adopter rate is locked in for your first 12 months. The Solo plan stays free.

Payments from your own patients are unchanged: they run through Stripe Connect on your own account, and Zdrovia does not take a cut. This month we also made the Stripe onboarding checks clearer, so you can see exactly what Stripe still needs from you before you can take payments.

Approvals for injectors who work under a medical directive

Nurse injectors often work under a medical director who signs off before treatment. Two new tools cover that:

  • Dispense requests. Mark a product as needing approval. When an injector records it, the stock is held and a named approver is asked to approve it. Once approved, the injector administers it and the stock is used.
  • Chart signature requests. Any staff member can ask a named colleague to review and sign a chart.

Approvers are notified by email, and the whole trail stays attached to the patient record.

The body map

The injection body map got a ground-up rebuild this month. You mark injection sites on the face or body, tie a mark to the product you used, and the new History view shows everything you have done to a site across visits, with filters. It also works much better on iPads and phones, and the PDF and image annotation viewer was cleaned up at the same time.

Forms

  • Completed forms are emailed to the clinic as soon as a patient submits them.
  • Track which forms you have requested from each patient.
  • The form builder got a long list of fixes, including zoom on small screens, better handling of signed-out patients, and a friendlier message if something goes wrong.
  • Forms and charts have a print mode.

Booking and the patient side

  • Set a minimum lead time so nobody can book you with an hour’s notice.
  • Cancellation emails, and clearer emails from your clinic overall.
  • Hidden profiles and non-billable services, for things like consultations.
  • Recommend products to a patient straight from the chart.
  • A welcome email for new clinics, and a number of portal fixes.

Invoices, patients and staff

  • Cleaner invoice editing, with commission and tip handling that follows your rules.
  • Archive patients without losing their history.
  • Staff switching between clinics now keeps the right identity throughout.

Patients can now search clinics by treatment, city or business type, and the clinic directory shows what is actually offered rather than just names. This is the first step of the discovery work on the roadmap.

Behind the scenes

We fixed a set of access-control issues found in a security review, shipped the Zdrovia MCP server for running parts of your clinic from Claude (charts and clinical data are never exposed), and fixed a long tail of iPad and iPhone layout issues.
